03 OECD Internship Program Eligibility
- Enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program for the entire duration of the internship, in a field related to the OECD’s work
- Available for a minimum of one month
- Excellent command of English or French — the OECD’s two official languages — with willingness to build the other as a plus
- Strong quantitative/analytical skills and solid computer proficiency (Microsoft Office) are commonly expected, and prior international exposure (study abroad, past internships, volunteering) is considered an asset rather than a requirement

04 The work
Interns join either a substantive policy directorate — economics, trade, environment, taxation, education, digital policy, and more — or a corporate function such as HR, communications, IT, or finance. In a policy directorate, the role typically involves research support, drafting background notes, contributing to working papers, and data analysis alongside policy analysts. It’s substantive work: interns are often acknowledged in the research outputs they help produce.
